Athlone Green party councillor confirms vote in favour for programme for government

Votes will be counted today to see whether the programme for government has been backed by Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil and the Greens.

The most uncertainty is around the Green Party - which needs a two thirds majority of members to support the deal.

Taoiseach and Fine Gael leader Leo Varadkar believes they may even get more than that.

Athlone Green Party councillor Louise Heavin has voted in favour of the programme for Government.
