Approximately €50,000 worth of jewellery taken in Athlone burglary

Gardaí are appealing for information after €50,000 worth of Jewellery was taken from a store in Athlone. The burglary occurred in the Golden Island area of the town at approximately 3.15am this morning.

Gardaí say no arrests have been made so far and investigations are ongoing. Anyone in the Athlone Town centre area in the early hours of this morning and who noticed anything suspicious is asked to contact local Gardaí.
