The houses would be a mix of semi detached and terraced buildings, with access gained off Oaklands Avenue. Plans also include cycle paths, a landscaped open area and all associated site works. Several submissions against the granting pf permission were received by Longford County Council from both local property owners and the Board of Management of the nearby Scoil Eimear. These concerns included the increase in the volume of traffic locally and the retention of mature trees on site. County Planners approved the application with 16 conditions attached.

These include a bond deposit of close to one million euro and a payment of €255,000 to the planning authority.
