51 more deaths and 2,608 new cases of Covid-19 announced nationwide today

The Department of Health has confirmed 51 more deaths due to Covid-19 and 2,608 new cases of the virus.

Locally, there have been 22 new cases of the virus identified in Roscommon, 14 in Longford and less than 5 in Leitrim.

Nationally today, 1,019 cases were recorded in Dublin, 204 in Cork and 135 in Donegal.

There has now been a total of 2,818 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland to date and 181,922 cases of the virus.
