200 modular homes to be ready for Ukrainians by April welcomed by local TD

The news that 200 modular homes are to be built by April to accommodate Ukrainian refugees has been welcomed as a 'really good idea'.

So far over 65 thousand Ukrainian people have arrived in Ireland and over 54 thousand of them are seeking accommodation from the State.

Sligo Leitrim TD Marian Harkin, says it's good progress that the new rapid-build units are going up in Cavan, Sligo, Thurles, Claremorris and Mahon in Cork.

However, the Shannonside Deputy says other options must also be considered.
