Over 2.5 million euro has been allocated to the independent radio sector in Ireland - including Shannonside Northern Sound.
Minister for Communications Catherine Martin has today welcomed the BAI announcement of the allocation of €2.58m to the independent commercial radio sector.
The funding has been allocated to stations that provide speech content to raise public understanding of the evolving COVID-19 situation.
All 32 commercial radio stations throughout the country are benefitting from today's announcement with over €97,000 allocated for programs on Shannonside FM and Northern Sound FM
