120 adults across the Shannonside region were living in emergency accommodation in May.
The figure was revealed in the Department of Housing's monthly report.
This includes 61 across Co. Westmeath, 22 in Co. Longford, 19 in Co. Leitrim, and 18 in Co. Roscommon.

Nationally, a total of 17,447 people were homeless - 5,583 of these were children.
