The Roscommon club championship gets underway this evening with a mouth-watering five games on opening night.
The opening rounds of the championship will be an interesting story this time around. The new rules have changed Gaelic football.
And judging by the Longford championship second round, more shall be uncovered in rounds two and three and the impact of the new fast open game becomes apparent.
However, Friday night’s games and Sunday’s meeting of Oran v Castlerea St Kevin’s will go some way to uncovering the story of the 2025 championship.
St. Brigids enter this year’s championship as favourites. Whereas, with defending champions Padraig Pearses in a tough group with Clann na nGael and St. Dominics.
Boyle are many people’s surprise package of the tournament. They open against Roscommon Gaels on Friday night. Interest will be high in the other group C game between Oran and Castelerea St. Kevin’s.
The group stages will be full of drama as debated between Darragh O’Connor and Willie Hegarty on the Rossie Podcast.
