A Roscommon priest, based in the US for 66 years, is delighted with the appointment of the new Pope.
The man now known as Pope Leo The 14th became the first ever US Pope last Thursday.
Monsignor Kevin Flanagan is from Kilglass in Co Roscommon but has been based in the US since his ordination in 1959.
