It’s 10 years since Ireland became the first country to approve same-sex marriage through a popular vote.

This Thursday is the 10th anniversary of the marriage equality referendum. 62 per cent of voters backed the proposal – with Roscommon the only county to vote No.

Eoghan Murphy has been reflecting on the outcome with Patrick Kelleher, a gay man from Castlerea. The 31-year-old first spoke about growing up as gay in Co Roscommon:
