A local world-renowned musician and Shannonside Northern Sound presenter has been conferred with an award in honour of his contribution to Irish trad music.
The Heathery Breeze presenter Paddy Ryan received the Dr John Stafford award at the Elphin Community Centre last night.
The award is conferred to those who provide outstanding service to Irish traditional music in Roscommon.
