Plans to upgrade a key stretch in Roscommon town are expected to advance this year.
The proposed works focus on the route linking the area near Hannon’s Hotel to the Golf Links Road, a section that has long been highlighted by residents and road users as requiring improvement.
The project will proceed to the tender stage between April and June with works to commence later this year.

Increased traffic volumes, safety concerns, and the condition of the roadway have all contributed to calls for action over recent years.
