Work on the realignment of the N60 between Roscommon and Castlerea will be complete in the coming weeks.
A large section of the new road, eliminating bends at Oran has opened, with positive feedback on new route which showcases a panoramic view stretching into east Galway.
Resurfacing work is taking place at the point where the new road joins the existing road with traffic lights still in place close to the Ballintubber turn.
