An elderly woman has died in a crash in Co Roscommon.
It's after a collision between a Jeep-type vehicle and a truck on the N5 at Scramogue at around 5pm.
A passenger in the SUV, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was removed to the morgue where a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
The driver of the SUV, a woman in her 70s, was air-lifted to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious injuries.
The road is closed and expected to remain so until tomorrow pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 4:45pm and 5:15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
