The Rural Development Minister says the massive fire in west Roscommon was “absolutely horrific” – and the government is committed to trying to help landowners.
They want compensation from the state after acres of forestry was destroyed in the Gortaganny blaze last month.
Up to 100 people attended a public meeting about the issue on Tuesday night.
