A well-known Roscommon poet has been chosen as the Grand Marshall for this year's Roscommon Pride parade.
Jane Clarke is originally from Fuerty but now lives in County Wicklow with her wife.
The announcement was made on Poetry Day Ireland which fell on May Day this year.

She added that she's full of admiration for the organisers of the Pride Parade in Roscommon.
Jane believes it helps to show the county in a new light after it voted 'No' in the Marriage Equality referendum in 2015:
