Roscommon County Council says it won’t be going ‘back to the drawing board’ over the controversial upgrade of Ballaghaderreen.
Businesses are angry about the €4.5 million public realm project, which would see 47 car-parking spaces removed from the town.
Protests have been ongoing for the past 13 weeks, and mediation talks are ongoing between the council and traders.
But council chief executive Shane Tiernan is ruling out major change – with planning permission granted.
