Violence against sex-workers doubled since 2017

There has been a 92 per cent increase in violence

Violence against sex workers has nearly doubled in less than five years.

The Sex-Workers Alliance says it's due to a law change in 2017, which punishes those who buy sexual services.

The group is holding a vigil outside the Dáil this evening to bring attention to the problem.

Spokesperson Linda Kavanagh says the new law is to blame.
