Road signage around Co. Longford is filthy, outdated and in need of repair.
That's according to councillor Seamus Butler, who called for any available underspends from other budgets to be directed at fixing road signs across the county.
He says that up to 30 per cent of signage is unnecessary, and that some are even misaligned.
Speaking at a recent Longford MD meeting, the Fianna Fáil politician says the issue is most prevalent in surrounding townlands, such as Newtownforbes and Clondra.
