Two men are due in court as part of a Garda investigation into an aggravated burglary in Athlone.
The two men, aged in there 20s were arrested by Gardaí on Thursday morning.
The suspects were detained for questioning under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 in a Garda Station in Co. Westmeath.

Following questioning, both were charged in connection with the investigation.
They are due to appear before Athlone District Court this afternoon.
A man in his late teens and woman in her 50s were brought before Portiuncula University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted.
Investigations are ongoing.
