Two elderly blind brothers still without phone line weeks on from Storm Éowyn

93-year-old Seamus and 91-year-old John live together in Elphin.

Two elderly blind brothers living in rural Roscommon have been left without the use of their emergency pendants since Storm Éowyn. 93-year-old Seamus and 91-year-old John live together in the Elphin area of the county. Their phone line has been down since the devastating storm in January.

A niece of the brothers says they're both listed as vulnerable customers with their phone company but repairs have yet to be carried out. Denise says neighbours and relatives have been checking in on Seamus and John this winter. She says they have no way of making contact in case of an emergency:
