The man in his 60s who died in a two-car crash in Co Westmeath yesterday morning was a popular south Longford man.
Driver Tom Walsh, from Willow Cresent, Ballymahon, lost his life on the N55 at the Pigeons at 11 o’clock.
A passenger in his car and the driver of the second car, both men in their 80s, are in Tullamore Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
South Longford councillor Paul Ross is paying tribute to Tom after his death:
The N55 has reopened after the crash.
