Roscommon Parish Priest Fr Kevin Fallon has been paying tribute to the late Monsignor Charles Travers who died aged 94 at the weekend.
Mgr Travers gave almost 70 years of service as a priest of the Diocese of Elphin, many of which were spent in Roscommon parish.
Although he retired in 2002, Mgr Travers went on to serve as curate until 2016.

His final appointment was as Chaplain to the Sisters of Mercy in Roscommon and he continued that work up to the time of his death.
Speaking on the Let's Talk show this afternoon, Fr Kevin Fallon says that even though the Monsignor had some illness when they first met, he had been given the health to go on and help people for another three decades.
