Tributes have been paid to man (60s) killed in N4 crash

The road has since reopened following a technical examination.

Tributes have been paid to the man who died following a road traffic collision on the N4 at Ballinalack yesterday. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 60s was killed in a two-car collision near the County Westmeath village. It happened at around 4.20pm yesterday afternoon. The man was brought to Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the second car, a woman in her 60s, is being treated for serious injuries. The road has since reopened following a technical examination.
