Transport Infrastructure Ireland has issued an appeal on a planning development in Athlone.
In a submission to Westmeath County Council, the TII expressed concerns about plans for a new showroom at Michael Moore Car Sales.
The authority argued that the development's location endangers public safety due to the movement of the extra traffic that would accompany the completed project.

Upon submitting planning permissions for the showroom, Michael Moore Car Sales included a transport safety assessment, which assured the efficiency of the planning site.
An Archaeological Impact Assessment report is to be prepared in order to settle the concerns over the proposed development.
