Three NCT centres that serve the Shannonside region have re-opened today as part of phase three of government plans.
However, centres in the Northern Sound region won't re-open until July.
Castlerea in Roscommon, as well as Longford and Mullingar, were all due to re-open today but test centres in Carrick-on-Shannon, Cavan and Monaghan, are scheduled to re-open on a phased basis from the next month.

The Road safety Authority has also confirmed that driving test centres in the region will re-open on a phased basis in the coming weeks after 14 test centres re-opened across the country this morning for trucks, buses and motorcycles
