Thousands currently on waiting lists at Sligo University Hospital

Almost 14,000 people are on hospital waiting lists in Sligo University Hospital.

They're waiting for inpatient or outpatient care - with a total of 2,500 waiting at least a year.

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation also reveal 663 people were on trolleys in the hospital last month.

Independent Councillor Des Guckian, from Dromod, says there are serious problems in the hospital.
