A teenager has died in a car crash overnight in county Mayo.
It happened on the Ballyhaunis to Ballinlough road at around 11pm.
Gardaí got a call at around 11pm last night of a one-car crash on the N60 between Ballyhaunis and Ballinlough at Cloonafarna near the border between Mayo and Roscommon.
A 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, while another man aged 21 was taken to Mayo University Hospital, where he is being treated - however his injuries aren't thought to be serious.
The road is currently closed with diversions in place, while the closure is expected to continue thruoghout the morning while forensic examinations are carried out.
Any one who was on the road at the time and has dashcam footage or witnessed the incident are being asked to contact Gardaí in Claremorris.
