A local TD says people in Roscommon must feel the benefit of further funding for the ESB. Roscommon-Galway TD Claire Kerrane was speaking in the Dáil this week on legislation to allow the ESB to access more funding.
Thousands of people in the region were left without power for almost 3 weeks earlier this year following Storm Éowyn. Deputy Kerrane says it's unacceptable that people still had to pay their ESB bill whilst having no power in January:
