TD raises concerns about Gardaí procedures on alleged sexual assault

A Leitrim TD has raised concerns about how an alleged sexual assault was dealt with by the gardai.

Martin Kenny called for a review of the Youth Diversion Programme, which he says is being used inappropriately.

It prevents offenders aged between 12 and 18 from entering into the criminal justice system.
