Leo Varadkar is at Áras an Uachtaráin this evening to hand his official resignation to President Michael D Higgins.
His last engagement as Taoiseach today was at the North South Ministerial Conference in Armagh.
Mr. Varadkar's shock announcement less than three weeks ago has paved the way for the expected election of Simon Harris as Taoiseach tomorrow.
