Students in south Roscommon are being left stranded due to a school bus service failing to show up. The service, operated by Bus Éireann, picks up young students in the Four Roads, Rahara and Curraghboy areas. However, it has failed to turn up on a number of occasions since the start of the academic year in September. On some of those days no prior notice was given, leaving students on the roadside. Cllr Laurence Fallon says this is putting students' safety at risk:
