The entire Shannonside Northern Sound region is now under a status yellow high temperature warning.
Temperatures could reach as high as 30 degrees in places today.
The Department of Agriculture issued a red warning yesterday for extreme risk of gorse and forest fires which runs until Monday.
Pet owners have also been advised to keep a close eye on their pets this weekend.
