A Status Yellow high temperature warning has been issued for Longford and 11 other counties. It comes into effect from 1pm tomorrow until 7am on Sunday.
Met Eireann is warning of temperatures exceeding 27 degrees Celsius, and uncomfortable sleeping conditions. A hot weather advisory remains in place for the whole country until Tuesday.
