St Christopher's Special School in Longford is getting a new special class.
Fine Gael TD Micheál Carrigy says it will accommodate six children.
He says he was working on getting the class because some families have been on waiting lists.

He says the application process will start shortly, ahead of the start of the class in less than six months' time:
