A county Leitrim school is set to benefit from a new special class for the next academic year.
Lough Allen College, located in Drumkeeran will receive a new autism spectrum disorder class.
It's one of the 45 new special classes announced by the Department of Education, of which five will be inclusive special classes.

Special classes in mainstream schools offer a supportive learning environment for students with complex needs.
Inclusive special classes help students with additional needs to learn alongside other students in mainstream classes, while also having time during the day to receive extra support in a special class.
