Sligo University Hospital one of the busiest in the country today

There are just under 50 patients waiting for a bed at hospitals serving the Shannonside region today. Figures published by the INMO, show there are 47 across Sligo, Portiuncula and Mullingar hospitals.

47 are waiting at Sligo University Hospital with none in both Portiuncula and Mullingar. Nationally, University Hospital Limerick remains the country's most overcrowded at 102.
