Local TD Frank Feighan says there's a snobbery in third-level education in Ireland - with some people looking down on ATU Sligo.
The Sligo-Leitrim TD was speaking at the Oireachtas higher education committee, explaining how he never went to university himself.
He says only three or four of the people who left his school in Boyle in 1980 went to third-level.
