Sliabh Bawn Easter walk rescheduled due to heavy rain

Due to the rainy and slippery conditions, it has been called off and rescheduled.

A walk at Sliabh Bawn as part of Strokestown's Easter celebrations has been postponed due to the bad weather.
Former senator Eugene Murphy was set to lead the walk today at 4pm.
Due to the rainy and slippery conditions, it has been called off and rescheduled for Easter Monday at 2pm.

Former local TD Eugene Murphy will be walking backwards for 10kms on the mountain, with funds raised going to the Hub and the Strokestown Community Development Association.
He says other events scheduled for today as part of Strokestown's inaugural Easter Festival will still be going ahead:
