A spokesperson for The Association of Hunt Saboteurs has condemned the shooting of a rare white tailed eagle in County Roscommon last week. A number of the birds were introduced by the National Parks and Wildlife Service from Norway in 2022.
Gardaí and the NPWS are currently investigating the incident. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, John Tierney from The Association of Hunt Saboteurs says the attacks on birds has been going on for years:
