Families across the Shannonside region are being urged to check if they're eligible for the back to school allowance. The Back-to-School Clothing and Footwear Allowance provides a once-off payment towards the cost of school clothing, books and footwear.
The scheme was refreshed at the start of June and is now available for families who meet income levels, are employed or have a qualified social welfare payments. Richard Reagan, Development Manager from Roscommon Citizens Information Service, is urging families across the three counties to check their eligibility and not miss out on the payment:
