Longford Sports Partnership and Longford Tourism have launched a number of outdoor events over the summer months including a Trail Running, and Summer Walking, series.
The Trail Run series will see a 5k run take place at half past seven on each Wednesday evening during the month of August, starting with the Royal Canal in Longford town on the 2nd of August.
Other runs will take place in the following weeks at Corlea Bog, Derrycassin Woods, and Newcastle Woods.

The summer walking series will see eight walks taking place at 6 in the evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting with Newtownforbes Heritage trail walk on Monday the 31st of July.
