Several Shannonside schools likely to be closed on Monday, due to power issues

Several schools in the Shannonside region are likely to be closed early next week, due to power cuts.

Many have no power now and they'll have to stay closed on Monday if it's not restored.

Roscommon councillor Sean Moylan has been assessing the situation.

Jacinta Conneely is the principal of St Anne's National School in Castlerea.

She says her school was affected by the storm, but she hoping it can open on Monday, as she has told Eoghan Murphy:
