Rural landlords are being warned to be vigilant following a drug seizure from a rented property in Longford this week. Gardaí have launched an investigation following the seizure of a significant amount of cannabis in a local village. As part of an intelligence led operation, local Gardaí searched a premises in Legan on Tuesday. The seized €6,500 worth of cannabis in the home in the course of the search. The drugs have now been sent for forensic analysis at an FSI laboratory in Dublin.
Councillor Paul Ross lives in the village and has praised Gardaí for their work. He's warning rural landlords to be on the look out for suspicious activity.
