Roscommon woman celebrated over work rescuing animals from war zones

Sandy Sheerin formed 'Red Shed', an animal welfare organisation focusing on rescue and education.

A local woman has been praised for her work in rescuing animals from war zones.

Sandy Sheerin who is from Roscommon, has helped rescue hundreds of animals from Ukrainian borders since the war with Russia began.

Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Sandy, who Founded ' Red Shed' explained how Irish people treat dogs differently now compared to past generations.
