Roscommon Senator calls for renewed discussion on hospitality VAT rate

The sector has consistently called for the VAT rate to be lowered from its current rate of 13.5% over the past 12 months.

A local Senator has called for a discussion to take place in the Seanad regarding the reintroduction of the 9% VAT rate for the Hospitality sector.

Fine Gael Senator Gareth Scahill made the call in the Seanad yesterday afternoon.

The sector has consistently called for the VAT rate to be lowered from its current rate of 13.5% over the past 12 months.
