A Roscommon publican says he's hopeful that the local pub will remain as popular as it was before the pandemic began.
Dale Kiernan, owner of the Railway Bar in Roscommon town says there was a nervousness on both sides of the counter when the pub re-opened without restrictions on Saturday evening.
Despite worries that some people might be reluctant to return, Dale says customers were delighted to come back and sit at the counter again.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, the Roscommon publican said while the next six months would be difficult to predict it was great to get back to some normality.
