Roscommon man pleads guilty to money laundering and drug possession

The case was heard at Roscommon Circuit Court.

A man has pleaded guilty to money laundering and drug possession charges at Roscommon Circuit Court.

Philip Henry of 4 The Oaks, Frenchpark was arrested in February 2021 following a Garda raid on his home.

Local Gardaí recovered €18,000 in cash and a small quantity of cannabis herb following a search of the property.

The man in his 40s appeared before Judge Francis Comerford this week at Roscommon Court House.

He pleaded guilty to possession of the proceeds of criminal activities and a breach of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977.

Philip Henry will be sentenced at the June sitting of Roscommon Circuit Court.
