The successful footballer says early detection of medical issues is a key part of successful treatment.

A Roscommon footballer battling cervical cancer has urged the public to keep on top of their physical health.

Rochelle Mullaney is calling on people across the region not to delay and to seek medical advice should they have any health concerns.

According to the talented Roscommon athlete, she spent several months ignoring a pain in her side thinking it was a pulled muscle and did not get it checked out.
