Roscommon County Council has been criticised for spending thousands of euro on a project that has been shelved for the past two years. Cllr Tom Crosby is calling on the local authority to proceed with plans for a footpath and public lighting on Ballytoohey Road in Tarmonbarry. He says four large housing estates and a local school urgently require a safe link to the village.
Cllr Crosby claims that over €70,000 was spent on the preparation of plans and related works in 2023 and 2024. He's now urging the council to move forward with the project:
